What is a better way of getting in the holiday spirit than attending some holiday events such as light shows? That is why I will be highlighting some events that are in season right now that anyone can have fun at. Even if you can’t afford a $35 ticket, you can explore more events that are free here.
The first event on the list has to be Zoolights at the Phoenix zoo. This is a winter classic in Phoenix, as this year is the 34th anniversary. The Zoolights features a light show, captivating music, and s’mores and hot cocoa. Here, there is a 200-foot-long tunnel with awesome lights above your head where you can stroll through. Tickets start at $30 when you buy online and $35 when you buy at the gate. This event runs from November 27th to January 12th.
The second on this list is the Tianyu light festival. This is a mile-long, walkable light showcase that is truly enchanting. This is an interactive exhibit where you start at the desert, then move into the forest, the fairy tale wonderland, the panda land, and the ocean world. They utilize the landscape; for example, they add beavers next to the reclaimed water lake. I have been here, and it was very nice. You can also purchase hot cocoa and explore the interactive exhibits, such as the smoke cannon and the mirror display. Tickets start at $18, and this runs from October 25th to January 5th.
Third on this list is the Desert Farm lights. Here offers a candy cane maze, a train ride, a 90ft slide, a carousel, trampolines, and more! You can also add on ice-skating, snow, and others. The Desert Farm Lights run from November 22nd to December 29th, and tickets start at $19.99.
Next, Pioneer Winter Wonderland is an unforgettable experience. Here, they have cowboys, Santa, and more. This is more of a “family time” than an interactive event, but it is still nice. Tickets start at $25, and it runs from November 1st to January 5th.
Finally, Glendale Glitters comes to town from November 21st to January 7th. This is another Winter classic, and this year will be the 31st anniversary. At this downtown Glendale event there are plenty of performances, with a parade and lots of lights. This event is free for everybody, though you can donate.
This is the list of some holiday events in Phoenix that you must try. This time of year seems to speed by, so take advantage! From $35 to free, anyone can have fun this winter. Have fun and stay safe!
