An important event is taking place after school today regarding today’s volleyball match. Mr. Ontiveros has come up with an engaging challenge for both teachers and students. This challenge includes:
-At least 200 students in the student section wearing pink
-At least 20 teachers, as well, in the teacher section wearing pink
The reward for completing this challenge is two lunches this Friday! “I think everyone should wear pink and show up for more time at lunch to eat,” states Cassie, a student who attends North Canyon High School. Many students are also excited by this idea. Students have been talking about it since it was first announced.
On another note, Niome Walston shared some motivating words for the players, “I’m wishing the volleyball girls the best for the game today.” This statement perfectly reminds us that this game is not just about another lunch, but a symbol of spirit and school pride. The pink is a reminder of those we have lost and still suffering from breast cancer. Let’s support our players, spread awareness, and give the players an audience cheering them on!
