As the fall season approaches, hope starts to fill the air with the arrival of the New Junior Varsity football coach, Coach Collins. The energy is evident as players eagerly await to meet and work with one of the individuals who will lead the team forward. It’s an exciting time for our football program, as we welcome our new JV coach and look ahead to the promising fall season.
With fresh perspectives and strategies, there’s a sense of optimism as the players gear up for the challenges and triumphs awaiting them on the field. This is a time of great opportunity and potential for the entire football program, and we look forward to seeing how our new JV coach will inspire and guide our team to great victories.
When asked for his opinion on what it means to be a coach he said, “A coach is someone who tells you what you don’t want to hear, who has you see what you don’t want to see, so you can be who you have always known you could be.” We also asked him about what he thinks will happen at the away game on Wednesday against the Goldwater Bulldogs and he told us “No matter if we win or lose, this game does not decide the outcome of this season, the only thing that will decide if we have a winning season or not, will be the perseverance of our players.”
