The North Canyon Rattlers are excited to welcome their newest basketball head coach Ernie Lopez. Coach Ernie Lopez came from Washington High school.
I asked coach Ernie Lopez what does he love about the game, ¨ It was the only thing I had growing up that was free, I could go to the park and play anytime I wanted.¨
He said his goals with the players this year are to turn them into the best future husbands and fathers.
I asked why he switched schools ¨ It was an amazing opportunity that I couldn’t pass up, and if I did I knew I would regret it.¨
His goals for this year are to improve everyone the best he can, especially the younger guys, since there is only one senior on the team.
