Last year, NCHS’s football team suffered many losses and hardships. North Canyon will not give up after a 1-9 win and lose. This year, a new coach has joined NCHS and trained our football players. Although we may not have the same coach as last year, we can hope to continue to do good throughout the year.
However, the NCHS football team plans to improve their 1-9 and be better than last year.
Staff members are excited to support NCHS’s football team in its first game of the year. On August 30th, the Rattlers faced off against the Deervalley Skyhawks. Last year, we beat them 26 NCHS—18 DVHS. Let’s expect another win from the team. Come and support our team at our first game of the year at North Canyon.
The NCHS Rattlers lost against the Deer Valley Sky Hawks with a score of 6-62. Many people say there needs to be more trust between the players.
On September 5th, The Rattlers faced off against Goldwater with a score of 26 (Rattlers) – 61 (Goldwater)
On September 13th, the Rattlers face off against Agua Fria. Unfortunately, some players can not play and perform in the game due to grades. Thankfully, grade checks are this week, and they can play when their two weeks are up.
Mrs. Driscol and Mrs. Hansen say “when students play a sport, they have to be student-athletes, keeping their grades up to play their sport.”
