Recently, there has been new stuff coming in from The RISE Club and the committee!
In the beginning of the year, there was something organized for the people who had 90% attendance to classes, which a lot of students participated in. Now, their next celebration is for students who are passing all their classes by the end of the first quarter, after fall break. “Passing means A, B, C, or D no F’s,” Ms. Kaufman stated.
These RISE Celebrations will be continued based on campus-wide goals and they’ll announce them to let students know what they should try to achieve! “The intention is to help students find tangible ways to meet those RISE goals,” She stated. The goal that the committee is hoping to meet this year is finding different ways that students could showcase RISE and help students have something to achieve rather than them feeling like they don’t know what to do.
When the first RISE celebration happened, there were over a thousand students who participated. They aren’t sure how the outcome will be, but they hope to have a lot more participants, as much as possible! They’re really just experimenting this year to see how much they can succeed with these celebrations and use this experience as a reference for future events!
