North Canyon’s first fall concert was on December 6th. The dance took place at North Canyon’s auditorium at 6PM – 7:30PM. Over one hundred students in the dance department had about an hour and 30 minutes to show off their dance abilities, and they sure did!
The show order was: Formation, Work It, Gimme More, Demented Doll, Nothing Ever Lasts, Santa Baby, Havana, Eres Mia, Make a Wish Maniac, Copycat, Anchor, Strange, Closure, Nova, No Time To Die, Spark, and then was followed by a short 5 minute intermission.
After the intermission the show order continued with: Reaching, Lay Me Down, Rich Girl, Gasolina, Humble Mix, Money, The Moment I Said It, You, My Mind, Black Cat, Falling, Jubilee.
I was able to get an interview from North Canyon’s dance teacher Alicia Nascimento Castro, and was able to get her thoughts about the concert.
How do you think the dance went? – “I think it went beautifully, the kids really got to show their versatility and for their first concert I think it went wonderfully.”
What dance was your favorite? – “I guess I would say Jubilee because that was with my advanced dancers and it was the closer of the show, so I was mostly excited about that one cause we worked in it a long time and the students did it beautifully.
When will the next dance concert be? – “May 9th”
What can we expect for the next dance? – “The next dance is going to be “Revive” and it is about what came from the past and bringing it to the present, so the 1980s and back.
Make sure to purchase your tickets and attend the next concert on May 6th and show some love for North Canyon’s Dance Department!
