A whole year of Danceline has gone by now and honestly, I’m not too sure when that happened. Football games, basketball games, assemblies, competitions, and so much more. This group of girls has changed my life for the better. Being on Danceline has allowed me to grow a close bond with a group of girls I never thought I would consider them to be my family.
Our Danceline Banquet was held at our coach’s house where we were welcomed and greeted. We had a little dinner where we just caught up as we ate. Our coaches then delivered a speech, played some games, took some photos, and went swimming for a little. We all then received our certificates for completing a varsity sport.
As you’re reminiscing on all that had just happened this past year, you feel a sense of gratitude. It is different for me everyone on the team but for me it’s happiness. Happiness that I stepped out of my comfort zone and pushed myself to try out for the team even though I had never been more nervous in my life. As we talked about the whole year, we realized how much each of us have changed on the team and outside of the team. But most importantly how much we’ve grown
Other than all of the beautiful memories made on this team we have to think about why we are all here and why we are the dancers that we are today. Because of the help of our coaches. Every morning they are there even if they would rather be asleep. Pushing us to be our best and believing in us. You may be good at a sport, but you are able to grow in the sport if you have a coach that believes in you and sees your potential.
